When TroopWebHost is the right call.
If you are running a troop with equipment checkout, patrol structure, merit badge counselors, and a treasurer who wants every last transaction in one ledger, TroopWebHost does far more of that than MemberCairn does, and it has done it since 2007. We build for Cub Scout packs, and we build narrow on purpose. There is no shame in picking the tool that fits.
On advancement we differ deliberately. TroopWebHost tracks it, but advancement only officially counts once it is in Scoutbook, and leaders describe keeping those records in both places. We think they belong in the official system, entered once, so MemberCairn leaves advancement to Scoutbook and puts its effort where nothing else is competing.
